Jacob greets Meghalaya People for Holi

Shillong, Mar 14 (UNI) Meghalaya governor M M Jacob has conveyed best wishes and greetings to the people of Meghalaya on the occasion of Holi.

Holi the festival of colour, joy and happiness offers an opportunity to the people, irrespective of caste, creed to renew their faith in goodwill and undertanding.

It is also an occasion to promote national solidarity and to strengthen the traditional bonds of friendship and brotherhood among our people, a Raj Bhawan communique said.

''I hope this year's Holi will be celebrated in Meghalaya in tune with other parts of the country in the same spirit of sharing that has marked Holi celebrations in the past'', it added.
