Iraqi police dig up 27 bodies in Baghdad
Baghdad, Mar 14: Iraqi police said they found 27 bodies with gunshot wounds in southeast Baghdad today (Mar 14, 2006) , raising the number of victims of killings in the capital since last morning to at least 80.
Police said they appeared to have been killed in the last few days.
The unusually high number of violent death comes two days after car bombs ripped through a Shi'ite militia stronghold in Baghdad, killing 52 people in the latest wave of sectarian bloodshed.
