Inquiry ordered into non-utilisation of funds

Gulbarga, Mar 14 (UNI) Karnataka Agricultural Marketing Minister Sharanabasappa Gowda Darshanapur today ordered an inquiry into the non-utilisation of about Rs 1.5 crore of the total Rs ten crore sanctioned by the Government to the Gulbarga Corporation for flood relief works.

Taking part in a review meeting with the district administration and Corporation officials here, he told newspersons that the Inquiry Commission, comprising Corporation Revenue officials, should submit its report within 15 days.

The Minister said a revolving fund of Rs 250 crore to Rs 450 crore would be set up to purchase foodgrains from farmers when the prices of the commodities crashed.
