Hutch announces new tariffs for pre-paid rural subscribers
Chandigarh, Mar 14 (UNI) Cellular service provider, Hutch, today announced reduced tariffs for its prepaid subscribers in Haryana.
Sanjoy Mukerji, Operations Director, Delhi, Haryana said under this new tariff plan, customers in rural Haryana can make calls at much lower rates. All Hutch-to Hutch and Hutch-to-other mobile calls will be charged at 50p and local Hutch-to-landline calls will be charged at Re 1. All local mobile-to mobile SMSs will be charged at 50p per SMS.
Mr Mukerji said, ''With such a tariff offer Hutch has reiterated its commitment of making mobile telephoney more affordable for its rural customs. This offer is primarily targeted at enabling upcountry mobile users to save a significant proportion of the monthly mobile expenditure.'' He said new Hutch prepaid subscribers can avail this offer without any rental till this May 31st. A nominal rental of Rs nine per week will be charged thereafter. Existing prepaid Hutch subscribers can opt for this plan by sending ACT HZ as an SMS to 144. A weekly nominal rental of Rs nine will be charged for them.
This tariff will not be applicable in the cities of Panipat, Sonipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Hissar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Jind and Kaithal.
Mr Mukerji said outgoing calls made from these towns will be charged at the normal prepaid tariff of Rs 1.99 per minute and 99p per minute for calls made to local landlines and mobiles respectively.
