Eggs replace water balloons in Jammu

Jammu, Mar 14 (UNI) Thanks to bird flu, people here literally ended up with eggs all over their faces, as innovative youths swapped them for water balloons on the occasion of Holi.

With the eggs finding hardly any takers after the avian flu sacre, local youths chose the occasion to put them to good use on this occasion.

Motorcycle-borne youths, with faces painted beyong recognition, hurled them indiscriminately on pedestrians.

Besides, more conventional ways of sprinkling colours -- like sprayer -- were also used and people, cutting across religious lines, exchanged sweets and gulal.
