DMK alleges code violation in relief distribution by AIADMK

Chennai, Mar 14 (UNI) The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) today charged the ruling AIADMK with distributing relief in violation of the model code of conduct and urged the Election Commission (EC) to stop this forthwith.

In a statement here, DMK Treasurer Arcot N Veerasamy said the AIADMK was carrying on with the illegal activity even after evidence was sent to the Chief Electoral Officer here and to the EC of India.

If the EC failed to intervene and stop the 'illegal acts', people would lose faith in the Commission and in democracy, he said.
