Committee on farmers' suicides submits report
Hyderabad, Mar 14 (UNI) The Ramachanna Reddy commission on farmers and weavers suicides, submitted its report to Andhra Pradesh goverment today.
According to official sources here, the single member committee which had studied the suicides of farmers and weavers in the state, submitted its report to the government during the cabinet meet presided over by the Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat.
The committee report revealed that the seven farmers in Adilabad district and three in Karim Nagar district were alive, contrary to the opposition Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) claim that they died in its report on farmers suicides in two districts, sources added.
