British council in Gaza set ablaze-witness

Gaza, Mar 14: Palestinian militants set fire to the British council office in Gaza today (Mar 14, 2006) as part of protests over an Israeli seige of a West Bank jail where a leading militant is being held, a sources said.

Militants and Palestinian police earlier exchanged gunfire outside the council office, a cultural centre in Gaza.
