Boy arrested for raping minor girl

Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) Thane police today arrested three youths from Nallasopara on charges of raping and blacmailing a minor girl.

Senior Inspector Bajirao Bhosale of Nallasopara Police Station said that on February 21, accused Tushar Das had taken his 16 year old girlfriend into a room under some pretext, where he raped her in the presence of his two friends, who filmed the entire act on their mobile phones. Therafter, they made a CD of the act and started blackmailing her, Mr Bhosale said, adding that the trio also wanted to sell the CD.

Fed up of the harassment, the victim lodged a complaint, based on which Das was arrested. During investigation, he confessed that the sexual act was filmed by his friends and that they were planning to sell the CD soon.

Mr Bhosale, however refused to reveal the names of the other two accomplices, saying that he could not do so as investigations were in progress.
