Bimala sent to correctional home after confession
Purulia, Mar 14 (UNI) Alleged naxalalite Bimala Sardar today gave a confessional statement before the Chief Judicial Magistrate and was sent to Purulia District Correctional Centre.
Magistrate Ataur Rehman said the confessional statement was recorded for over 70 minutes under sec 164/3 later, she was remanded to the correction home.
The accused was taken to the Home under unprecedented security fearing Maoist attacks.
Meanwhile the other girl, Sukhna Mahato's case will be up for hearing on March 20. Her lawyer Sagar Mandal claimed that she is a minor and that the case be referred to a juvenile court.
Both the girls were arested on february 7 from Belpahari in West Midnapore. The CID claimed that they were involved in the killing of CPI (M) District Secreatriat Member Rabindranath Kar and his wife Anandamoyee in Bandwan village in Purulia last December.
