Bangalore, Mar 14: Bangalore University has come up with a cultural policy to uphold Indian cultural values and create a strong sense of national integration among its students, its Vice-Chancellor M S Thimmappa announced.
Talking to reporters here, he said Rs 10 would be collected annually from every under-graduate and post-graduate student of colleges affiliated to the varsity to raise fund for the cultural activities.

Mr Thimmappa said colleges should feel that varsity cultural activities were part of their academic programme and involve themselves actively in organising such events.
Selected participants would take part in the South India Inter-University Youth Festival and thereafter at the national level Youth Festival, he said, adding that an one-time cash prize would be awarded to the winners of the two competitions.
