Baghdad curfew for parliament opening - Iraqi TV

BAGHDAD, Mar 14 (Reuters) Baghdad will be put under an extended vehicle curfew from 2000 hrs (local time) tomorrow to 1600 hrs on Thursday as parliament opens for the first time, Iraqi state television reported today, quoting the Interior Ministry.

The capital already has an overnight curfew from 2000 hrs (local time) to 0600 hrs. The curfew has been extended several times in recent weeks to help prevent violence.

Some 80 people have died violently in Baghdad since last morning, according to police and hospital sources.
