9 cops injured in Naxal-planted landmine blast in Gadchiroli
Nagpur, Mar 14 (UNI) Nine policemen were injured in a landmine blast, triggered by Naxalites, at Fulmodi Gatta Village in Dhanora taluka of Gadchiroli district today.
The policemen, attached to the anti-Naxal squad, were travelling in a van when the blast occurred. The vehicle was also slightly damaged, Gadchiroli police said.
Police said a landmine was planted by Naxalites and as the police van, carrying the patrolling police personnel passed over the spot, it exploded injuring nine policemen and damaging the vehicle.
All the nine policemen, none of whom were injured seriously, have been admitted to the Gachiroli civil hospital.
