As part of police efforts to get closer to the public in the Naxal infested Sonebhadra district, community marriage of 26 tribal women was organised on the order of police superintendent (SP) Raghuvir Lal last night, sources added.

The DM, however, said that the district administration had no connection with the incident, but added that the SP might have certainly checked the age of the young women who were married.
