UP Advocate General resigns
Lucknow, Mar 13 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Advocate General (AG) Virendra Bhatia today resigned from his post.
Bhatia told UNI here he had resigned from the post with immediate effect, but refused to divulge the reason.
He was appointed AG by the Mulayam Singh Yadav government on September 17, 2003.
According to sources, Mr Bhatia was likely to contest the biennial Rajya Sabha elections from UP slated on March 28 as a Samajwadi Party candidate.
