Tension in MP tribal belt after arson
Ratlam, MP, Mar 13 (UNI) Tension prevailed in tribal-dominated Sailana area in Ratlam district in western Madhya Pradesh after 14 huts were set ablaze following the murder of a police constable yesterday, police said today.
Police force had been deployed in Luni and Ambapada villages, police said.
Constable Bapu Singh posted at Jaora Industrial Area was seriously injured as six tribals assaulted him following a dispute over collecting donation for Holi festival at Luni, where he had gone to attend a family function. He died at a hospital in Indore and was cremated at Ambapada village today.
