OCCI is interested to invest in Kannur

Kannur (Kerala), Mar 13 (UNI) North Malabar Chamber of Commerce (NMCC) President C Jayachandran today said the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has expressed the desire to invest in development projects in Kannur.

Talking to newsmen here today, he said the delegation of NMCC had recently visited Oman on the invitation of the OCCI and held discussions with them from from march 6 to 8 on various matters and requested them to invest in the developmental projects in the district.

He said the areas identified for investments includes tourism and the proposed Kannur Airport.

Mr Jayachandran said the OCCI delegation would visit Kannur soon and if possible they may sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for invest in the projects.

The NMCC delegation comprising its President Jayachandran, Secretary B Maheshchandra Baliga, Treasurer C K Unnikrishnan and Executive Member Pothan Rajan visited Oman for discussions with the officials of the OCCI on the invitation from them. They met President of the OCCI and the Director General of OCCI.
