New flagstaff at Murugan temple installed

Kancheepuram, Mar 13 (UNI) Hundreds of devotees today witnessed the consecration of the new flagstaff at Kunrathur Murugan Temple this morning.

The old flagstaff was replaced after 70 years due to disrepair.

The temple is located on a hill like other Murugan shrines.

The 33 ft tall new flagstaff with a base plated with gold and silver was installed this morning amid chanting of hymns.
