Monica Bedi's remand extended

Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) Actor and underworld don Abu Salem's companion Monica Bedi's judicial remand has been extended till March 27 in the fake passport case.

The actor was brought from the Chanchalguda Jail today amid tight security and was produced before the Special Court here, which extended her remand till March 27.

Meanwhile, a fresh petition was filed by Abu Salem's Counsel Ashok Saroggi urging the court to combine his case with Monica's.

The judge posted the hearing to March 27.

Though the judge had directed CBI to produce Abu Salem before the Special Court, the investigation agency could not do so as Salem was in custody of Mumbai police custody in connection with other cases.
