Mumbai, Mar 13: Former Lok Sabha Speaker and senior Shiv Sena leader Manohar Joshi today filed his nomination papers for biennial Rajya Sabhya elections as Shiv Sena candidate.
He was accompanied by the leader of opposition in Legislative Assembly Ramdas Kadam, Subhas Desai, Diwakar Raote and others.
Interestingly Bala Nandgaolkar who was criticised by Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackarey for drumming the band from both the sides (trying to support both Raj and Uddhav) was also present when the nomination papers were filed.
Mr Joshi was defeated in 2004 general election in North Central Mumbai.
