Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) Larsen&Toubro (L&T) has completed a Rs 1,006 crore order from ONGC ahead of schedule by handing over the RS8 platform to the oil major on February 17.

A press release issued here today said L&T's capability to execute nine platforms together as a single order, its project management skills and timely sourcing of over 40,000 tonnes of steel and equipment needed from around the world, have enabled the company to complete the project ahead of schedule.

L&T also achieved one million man-hours accident-free working during project execution and carried out many safety studies of the design of the platforms, the release added.
