Law soon to check sexual harassment in K'taka schools
Gadag, Karnataka, Mar 13 (UNI) The Karnataka Government is mulling to bring in laws to suspend teachers on the spot if they were involved in sex scandals, misbehaved with girl students and came drunk to school, Primary and Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Horatti said today.
Talking to newspersons here, he said consultations with experts were on to introduce such laws.
To a question, the Minister said the process of filling up 2,600 vacant teacher posts in the State would start soon. A proposal in this connection had been submitted to the Finance Ministry.
