Mohali, Mar 13 (UNI) India are poised to win the second Test match against England after scoring 28 of the 144 runs set by the tourists without losing a wicket on the final day of the match at the PCA Stadium here today.

India now require 116 runs with 10 wickets in hand and two full sessions at their disposal. Opener Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag were batting on 15 and nine, respectively.

Earlier, ace leg spinner Anil Kumble (four for 69) and debutant Munaf Patel (four for 26) wrecked England's second innings, which collapsed to 181 all out in 76.1 overs on the fourth morning.

Resuming at their overnight score 112 for five, England lost their last five wickets for just 69 runs. The highlight of their second innings today was a ninth wicket partnership of 42 runs between captain Andrew Flintoff (51) and Steve Harminson (13).

They carried the score from 139 for 8 to 181 for 9 before Kumble broke their partnership.

Harmison went for a sweep shot to a faster delivery on the leg side from Kumble and missed. Wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni quickly removed the bails. Harminson hit two fours while facing 49 balls.

With the departure of Flintoff England innings folded up at 181 in 76.1 overs.

The skipper, who scored 70 in the first innings, went for the sweep shot to a slower delivery of Piyush Chawla on the leg side and was caught by Munaf Patel giving Chawala his first Test wicket.
