India, China conclude talks on border issue
Kumarakon, Kerela, Mar 13 (UNI) The seventh round of talks between the special representatives of India and China on the border issue, National Security Advisor M K Narayanan and Executive Vice-Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo, concluded here today on a positive note.
A brief four paragraph statement issued at the end of the two-day level talks said the next meeting of the special representatives will take place in China on mutually convenient dates.
The statement said the two special representatives continued their discussion for an agreed framework for the resolution of the boundary question in a constructive and friendly atmosphere.
The statement also noted that Mr Dai called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on March 11 before the start of the seventh round of talks, which were held there on the first day and resumed here from yesterday.
