EverReady and Shimla Young share points

Jamshedpur, Mar 13 (UNI) Ever Ready and Shimla Young finished the last league tie with 1-1 draw to secure fourth and fifth places respectively in the Group-A match of ONGC Cup second division NFL at JRD Tata sports complex here today.

Both the teams drew blank in the first half. But EverReady's Nigerian recruit M F Chibueze drew first blood in the 61st minute (1-0), while another Nigerian A I Okechukwu of Shimla Young restored parity in the 75th minute through a header (1-1).

The Kolkata outfit folded up the NFL with five points from five outings while the Delhi team managed to earn two points from equal number of matches.

Local outfit Tata Football Academy (TFA) and State Bank of Travancore of Kerala had already moved into the final round with nine and eight points respectively.

The match between the Churchill Brothers of Goa and Punjab Police tomorrow will decide the third team to qualify to the next stage.
