District Magistrate kicks off night cleaning drive

Allahabad, Mar 13 (UNI) The city authorities have taken up a night cleaning drive on the pattern of Hyderabad.

In the first phase of the night cleaning drive kicked off by the District Magistrate Amrit Abhijat, six main roads have been cleaned.

The cleaning work on these six roads will be taken out from 9 pm to 1.30 am daily.

The District Magistrate urged the people to dump the garbage of their houses and shops by 9 p m so that it may be removed during night cleanliness drive.

Nagar Ayukta of Allahabad Gaya Prasad and other officials and social workers were present on the occasion.

The D M assured that the night cleaning drive would be taken in other parts of the city soon.
