Devotees take holy dip on 'Masimakam'

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Mar 13 (UNI) Thousands of devotees took a holy dip in the Mahamakam Tank in Kumbakonam here today on the occasion of 'Masimakam' festival.

The temple dieties were taken in a procession to the tank in the centre of the town where 'theertavari' (ritual bath) was performed.
