CPI(M) demands minister's resignation
Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) The CPI(M) today demanded the resignation of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Social and Tribal Welfare Mr R Redya Naik alleging that he did not even know that the government had appointed the Girglani Commission on the problems of tribals.
Talking to newspersons here, CPI(M) MLA Thammineni Veerabhadram alleged that the minister was behaving in an irresponsible manner.
He demanded that Naik should quit the cabinet. The CPI(M) member also demanded the Chief Minister to take notice of the matter.
Mr Veerabhadram charged that the Minister had misled the House by saying that a Commission to go into the problems of the tribals was not constituted.
His party would issue Privilege Notice to the Speaker about the Minister.
