Chinese delegation visits AP house
Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) A delegation from China today visited the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and watched the proceedings for a while.
The four-member delegation led by the Chinese Association for International Understanding Secretary General Xu Jianguo, which called on Speaker K R Suresh Reddy in his chamber, told reporters it was impressed with the tremendous economic growth registered by Hyderabad in general and the high-tech city in particular recently.
'We chose to visit this city as it plays a very important role in India's economic development', Association Deputy Director (Division for European and American affairs) Zhang Yaowu said.
They made special mention of the spectacular growth of IT and IT-enabled services in the city. 'Some software companies have started operations in Hong Kong as also mainland China', they added.
BJP floor leader and World Anti-Terror Forum Convenor G Kishan Reddy, who took the intiative to bring the Chinese team to Hyderabad, said a team of young politicians and young entrepreneurs would shortly visit China at the invitation of the Association.
