CBI files chargesheet against 9 officials of NSIC
New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) The CBI today filed a chargesheet in a city court against nine officials of National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) for allegedly misappropriating funds and misusing their official positions thereby causing pecuniary loss to the company.
Appearing before the Patiala House Court Special Judge, the investigating agency filed a chargesheet against Masqar Ahmad, O P Sharma, divisional manager S K Dhareja, Arun k Rathore, Rajeev Gaur and four others.
All the accused, in connivance with one Pramod Vijay Khullar had allegedly forged documents and incurred a loss to the tune of Rs 11 crore to NSIC.
The NSIC, under its Raw Material Assistance (RMA) scheme was empowered to help the small scale industries procure raw materials.
The officilas allegedly overlooked the stipulated norms and misued their position, the chargesheet said.
They have been charged under sections 120 (B) (Criminal Conspiracy), 420 (Cheating), 471 (Using Forged documents as Genuine) of the Indian Penal Code and 13 (1) and 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act.
The next date of hearing has been fixed for April 12 UNI XC AK BD1913
