London, Mar 13 (UNI) The British House of Commons today condemned the serial blasts that rocked Varanasi city on March 7.

An Early Day Motion was tabled in the House of Commons by Stephen Pound, a senior Labour MP and Chairman of the Labour Friends of India.

''That this House offers its deepest sympathy and sincere condolence to the families and friends of the victims of the unprovoked terrorist attack on the religious capital of Hinduism, the Holy City of Varanasi on 7th March; condemns the action of the cross-border terrorist group Lashkar-E-Kahar, who have claimed responsibility, and salutes the government of India for its dignified and principled response to the Varanasi outrage,'' he said.

The bomb blasts in Varanasi have shocked most in Britain. It has reminded people of the July 7 carnage in London in which 52 people died.

''They (terrorists) have no religion and they know no boundary.

My thoughts go to the victims and their families,'' a member of a victim's family said.
