Airtel offers ISD service to post-paid customers in Delhi
New Delhi, Mar 13: Airtel, India's leading mobile service provider today (Mar 13, 2006) announced a first-of-its-kind free activation of the ISD service for its post-paid mobile customers in Delhi.
The launch of the limited period offer (March 14 to April 13, 2006) is in line with Airtel's recent 50 per cent drop of ISD charges.
The pre-activated ISD facility on post-paid will facilitate Airtel customers to stay in touch with family, friends&business partners in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and Singapore.
Announcing the initiative, Bharti Airtel, Delhi CEO Christopher Tobit said, ''We took the lead in dropping ISD call charges to as low as Rs 7.20 per minute and now, the pre-activated ISD facility will get our postpaid customer to stay in touch with family, friends&business partners in these 5 countries.''
He added that ''this latest initiative strengthens our position in the market as the leading player which is driven by customer delight.'' Bharti Tele-Ventures has an aggregate of over 19.74 million customers as on February '06.
