Balasore, Orissa, Mar 13 (UNI) For the second time during the week, the Indian Air Force(IAF) today test fired a short range Air to Air Missile near the Integrated Test Range(ITR) at Chandipur on Sea, about 15 kms from here.

Earlier, on March 9 also, the IAF had test fired the missile which they procured from other sources. The ITR authority refused to divulge anything about the missile.

Sources said on March 9, the IAF targeted an object dropped from an Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA), popularly known as Laskhya which was test flown from the ITR.

Today however, the IAF testfired the short range missile to target a floating object on the sky. It was not confirmed either by the ITR or by the IAF as to whether the missile hit the target.
