Acer's latest projector priced competitively

Bangalore, Mar 13 (UNI) Acer India today announced that its latest projector, the Acer PD115 wide screen DLP projector, will be available at Rs 49,999.

Acer PD115 provided the user with multiple options of connecting it to a DVD player, notebook or desktop. It could project up to 312.5-inches of high quality picture over a 10 m distance, giving the viewer an enhanced cinematic experience, much bigger and better than what a normal home entertainment system could provide, according to a company release here.

Weighing just 2.3 kg, the product with a two-year warranty comprised internal speakers of 2 watts output and a remote control with laser pointer and page-up, page-down functions. It had a 1:1.2 manual zoom and manual focus and front, rear, front-ceiling, rear-ceiling projection mode capabilities, the release said.

Acer India General Manager (Sales and Marketing, Mobile and Display Products Group) S Rajendran said ''We have decided to bring down the price of Acer PD115 to enable the home consumer to create a home theatre experience within his budget. Users can experience the large screen effect of the projector even in brighter environments without compromising on picture clarity and brightness, and also The 2100 ANSI lumen PD115 delivers brilliant presentations virtually anywhere, all from a travel-friendly SVGA ultraportable.
