Kanpur, Mar 12 (UNI) The Vishwa Hindu Parishad will work alongwith the saints towards creation of a Hindu vote bank in the country, VHP President Ashok Singhal said today.
Addressing a press conference here Mr Singhal said that the time had come to counter the policy of Muslim appeasement, being pursued by psuedo-secular parties, through the creation of a Hindu vote bank.
''The VHP in consonance with the saints will launch a nationwide awareness programme aimed at uniting the Hindus to create a Hindu vote bank, which will be transfered en block to the party that vowed by the cause of the community,'' he maintained.
Squarely blaming the policy of Muslim appeasement being followed by psuedo-secular parties, for the Varamasi blasts, Mr Singhal said that parties like the so called socialist outfits had surrendered the national interest before the terrorists.
''The time has come for the Hindus to rise from slumber and unite to fight against the forces who have launched a virulent attack against them in consonance with anti-national outfits,'' he added.
