Two live cartridges blow up, no one injured

Ahmedabad, Mar 12 (UNI) A small blast occured today when two cartridges, which a constable was carrying in a bag along with other arms seized by the Crime Branch, blew up near Haribhai Godhani circle.

The cartridges went off when the bag in which they were kept fell off the policeman's bike, Inspector of Gomtipur police station B C Modi said.

No one was injured in the incident and no other damages have been reported, he said.

In the past week, the Crime Branch had made two seizures of several country-made weapons and live cartridges in the city.

The constable was carrying some of these weapons for investigation, he added.
