Train services disrupted following protest

Forbesganj Bihar Mar 12 (UNI) Train services were disrupted under Purnea-Jogbani section under Katihar division of North East Frontier Railay following protest by local people against alleged police atrocities at Forbesganj railway police station today.

Official sources said that local people were agitated at the alleged demand of extortion by railway police from the petty businessmen of the area. An enraged mob ranshacked the Forbesganj railway station and damaged the railway propert.

Some railway quarters were also damaged by the agitated mob, sources added.

Meanwhile, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has ordered a thorough probe into the incident.
