TNCC announces distribution of applications to aspirants

Chennai, Mar 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) today announced that distribution of applications to party ticket aspirants for the May eight Assembly elections would take place between March 14 to 17.

In a statement here, TNCC President M Krishnasamy said 100 applications for each of the constituency had been sent to presidents of District Congress Committees (DCCs).

Ticket aspirants could submit the filled-in applications to the respective offices of the DCCs, he added.

Mr Krishnasamy said there would not be any charge for the applications as per the instruction of the All India Congress Committee(AICC).

DCC Presidents should segregate the applications constituency-wise and send them to the Satyamurthy Bhavan on March 18, he added.

The Congress, which is a key constituent of the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance(DPA) in the State, has been allotted 48 seats to contest.
