Sumariwalla team manager in Commonwealth Games

Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) Newly elected Maharashtra Athletic Association president Adille Sumariwalla will lead the Indian team as a manager in the 18th Commonwealth Games to be held at Melbourne from March 19-24.

Sumariwalla, in a release issued here today, stated, ''We are sure of at least four to five medals in these games.'' ''Our dream team of women's 4x400m relay may throw a big surprise while Vikas Gowda will overcome challenge from South African throwers in Discus Throw. In spite of Anju's below par performance in Moscow, we are hopeful of her to come back with excellent jump in Melbourne,'' he further added in the release.

India had selected largest ever 25-member athletic team for the Commonwealth Games, the release added.
