Special arrangement for Holi at Dakor, 'Parikrama' at Palitana

Ahmedabad, Mar 12 (UNI) As lakhs of devotees are expected to participate in the traditional Holi festival at Dakor, famous for Lord Krishna's Ranchhod Temple in Kheda district on March 14, the Gujarat Government has made special arrangement for the security and convenience of pilgrims.

The administration has arranged for basic facilities for the pilgrims on the way to the temple, as lakhs of them walk it out from Ahmedabad, Vadodara and other places. A number of entertainment shows have been arranged, started yesterday at Khatraj, Mahemdabad and Mahutha for pilgrims during their night halts at these small wayside towns.

Similar arrangements have been made for ''Chha Gaon Parikrama''for six villages around the famous Jain pilgrimage centre on the Shetrunji Hill at Palitana in Bhavnagar district today.

These festivals are being promoted by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) in the state as this year is being celebrated as 'Year of Tourism', in collaboration with respective district administartions.
