Security beefed up at Ram Janmabhoomi
Ayodhya, Mar 12 (UNI) As a precautionary measure in the aftermath of the ghastly Varanasi twin blasts on March 7, security has been further beefed up at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex here.
Faizabad district magistrate Anurag Srivastava said today Central Reserve Police (CRP) jawans had been deployed at the watch-towers around the disputed site.
He said an additional CRP company has been stationed at the site.
Extra vigil is also being maintained on the security of the makeshift temple in the premises.
''Devotees visiting the place are thoroughly frisked. However, care is taken not to cause any inconvenience to them,'' he said.
Meanwhile, Senior Police Superintendent Neera Rawat informed that the security apparatus had, in fact, been tightened all over the district.
''Other prominent temples in Ayodhya have also come under our security net,'' she informed.
