Peerzada directs for resuming work on Haj Complex

Jammu, Mar 12 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir minister for Haj and Auqaf Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has directed the Auqaf authorities of Jammu to immediately restart abandoned work on Haj house at railhead here.

The minister during his visit today to the site of haj complex asked the Auqaf management to resume the work on the ambitious project and complete the same within a stipulated time. The project was started in 1999 at a cost of Rs 3.20 crore out of which Rs 1.15 crore have been spent so far.

He also directed that a parking slot should be developed in the premises of the complex and asked for construction of a building for housing an Islamic Library and auditorium on the available Auqaf land which is lying vacant near the complex.

Referring to the available 50 kanals auqaf land in the surroundings of the Haj complex, Mr Peerzada asked them to formulate a comprehensive project to be developed on the vacant land so that it will be utilized in a better way.
