Mother, daughter found dead in South Delhi apartment
New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) A 45-year-old woman and her mother were found dead in their South Delhi apartment this morning.
DCP (South) Anil Shukla said the victims, both practising lawyers in the Delhi High Court, were found dead in their Sidddharth Enclave apartment by their maid.
''When the maid came in the morning, nobody opened the door which was bolted from inside. Then with the help of some neighbours, they broke in,'' he added.
Mr Shukla said police was not ruling out any angle, including murder, while investigating the case.
He said preliminary investigations revealed that the attackers had gained ''friendly entry'' into the apartment.
''The attackers may have been known to them and were looking for something,'' he added.
''The room was ransacked, so it might be that the culprit was searching for something. Even a cupboard has been turned inside out.
So we're not ruling out anything right now,'' he said.
