Mill owner's son arrested in rape case

Mumbai, Mar 12 (UNI) Police have arrested the son of a prominent mill owner on the charges of raping a 52-year-old woman early today at Worli here.

Twenty six-year-old Abhishek Kasliwal, who is the son of the owner of Sreeram Mills at Worli, was arrested following a complaint lodged by the woman.

The woman stated in her complaint that she had been waiting near Churchgate for some conveyance to take her home at Mumbai Central well past midnight yesterday.

On spotting Abhishek Kasliwal, she requested him to drop her at Mumbai Central in his car and he agreed. However, instead of taking her to Mumbai Central, Abhishek Kasliwal drove her to the Sreeram Mills in Worli where he raped her, she stated in her complaint.

Worli Police have arrested Abhishek Kasliwal following the complaint and he will be produced before a court tomorrow, police said.
