Industrial Export Zone coming up in Satyavedu constituency

Tirupati, Mar 12 (UNI) A multi-industrial Special Export Zone (SEZ) will be set up in the Backward area of Satyavedu constituency in Chittoor distict of Andhra Pradhesh with public and private sector participation, Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy announced here today.

Talking to newspersons, he said the project would be developed in an area of 15,000 acres and generate 70,000 jobs, for which preference would be given to youth in the Backard area, educated upto atleast 10th standard.

Industralists from the neighbouring state of Chennai and NRI were intersted to establish industries in the disstrict as they would be given subsidies in power and rebate, he said.

The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporatioin (APIIC) has been asked to acquire the 15,000 acre land for SEZ. For this a notifition would shortly be issued by District Collector Rawat, he said.

One person each in the families affected by acquisition of land for SEZ would be provided a job, the minister said.

The mega project is expected to be completed in six months, he said.
