IMA opposse AP medical act bill
Vijayawada, Mar 12 (UNI) The Indian Medical Association's Andhra Pradesh unit is opposed to the AP medical Act bill recently introduced by the state government, according to its convenor Dr Harish Kumar Reddy.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Reddy said the bill would harm the medical practice of doctors. The bill said says corporations and villages came under equal category in medical practice. But it was not possible, Mr Reddy said.
In villages, the clinics were not in a position to recruit doctors and get modern equippment as in corporate hopitals.
The establishmment cost goes up to Rs 50 lakh.
It was not possible to demand removal of this clause in the bill, he said.
