Homage paid to first Goa chief minister Bandorkar

Panaji, Mar 12 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister Dr Wilfred de Souza today led the state in paying rich tributes to late Dayanand B Bandorkar, Goa's first chief minister, on his birth anniversary.

Mr De Souza, several Cabinet colleagues and officials and the BJP opposition leader Manohar Parrikar paid floral tributes at Bandorkar's memorial at Miramar besides garlanding the statue of the veteran leader at the Old Secretariat.

They offered prayers and recalled the services of Bandorkar who laid foundations for development of Goa.
