Exhaustive search in Shramjeevi Express following bomb threat
Lucknow, Mar 12 (UNI) The New Delhi bound 2391 Shramjeevi Express train was stopped for 30 minutes on Sultanpur railway station today and followed by an exhaustive check on the train after the authorities received a phone call about existence of a bomb on the general compartment.
Railway sources here today said that the train was stopped on the station after a telephone call at the Sultanpur district headquarters claimed that a bag containing a bomb was kept in the general compartment of the train.
An exhaustive check was performed in the general compartment following which a bag was recovered, that only contained clothes and other daily articles and nothing else.
The train left for its destination after the security check, railway sources added.
At least 13 passengers were killed in a powerful explosion in the general compartment of the same train near Hariharpur area of Jaunpur district on July 28, last year.
