DMK puts off screening of candidates for party ticket

Chennai, Mar 12 (UNI) The DMK today postponed the screening and interviewing the aspirants seeking party ticket in the May 8 elections to Tamil Nadu state Assembly, scheduled from March 14 to March 20.

The party's General Secretary Prof K Anbazhgan said, in a press release here, that the new dates for interviews would be announced soon after finalisation of the constituencies for the alliance parties.

However, tomorrow's schedule of interviews will be conducted as scheduled, he added.
