Cong receives 126 applications

Pondicherry, Mar 12 (UNI) As many as 126 partymen have submitted their application for the Congress ticket to contest the Assembly Elections in the union territory on May 3 and 8.

The Congress party has been receiving applications from the aspirants since march 10. Chief Minister N Rangasamy, Agriculture Minister A Namasivayam and Industries Minister M Chandragasu are among others who had applied for the ticket on the opening day itself.

Speaker M D R Ramachandran and deputy speaker A V Subramanian were among those who filed their applications today.
